Maree is an established poet with three published poetry collections. Her poems cover a range of subject matter from Picasso’s mistresses, online life in the nineties to the environment and family relationships. She often appears at poetry readings in the Albany library and in the broader poetry community. Her poems have been published widely, including a poetry commission from Red Room Poetry and in volumes of Poetry d’Amour and Indigo journal.
Maree has presented workshops as part of a residency at Peter Cowan Writers Centre, as well as a previous Albany Summer School. As a teacher, Maree aims to assist writers to develop their own style and craft their poems to fit with this style. Her love of poetry and the written word is infectious.
