202: Enamelling Three Ways
Plique a Jour is a beautiful enamelling technique using transparent enamels to produce earrings like miniature stained glass windows. The designs will be saw pierced from fine silver sheet and after applying enamel, different methods of firing the enamel will be explored with Jill Parnell, so that each student has the skills to advance their knowledge of the techniques and use them in the future to create wonderful, personal art pieces or gifts for the special people in their lives.

Jill Parnell

Jill Parnell
Jill Parnell studied at Claremont Art Centre and Carine College for Diplomas in Art Studies 1989 and Art and Design 1995. She exhibits regularly within Australia and overseas and has received many awards in Japan. An enamel specialist, she teaches at Fremantle Arts Centre and has conducted many workshops and Master Classes in Western Australia and the Eastern States. Jill received commissions for the Mayoral Chains for Cambridge, Victoria Park and Joondalup and has a small enamel painting in the collection of the Museum of Contemporary Enamel in Salou, Spain.
