Slow down, relax and connect with nature using simple creative and mindfulness practices. Our natural world so beautifully provides a myriad of colour and life to create, and find rest in art. The mindfulness aspect of this course allows you to switch off from the busyness of life and welcome creativity and inspiration to flow. Each session includes a nature-focused meditation and outdoor walk where we will observe the natural world then draw, paint, write poetry or journal in and outside the classroom. Mish Mustac will provide simple creative practices along the way.

Michlin (Mish) Mustac has always felt true rest and home in nature. As a child she experienced more joy in studying the changing shapes of clouds in the sky and the wondrous feeling of mud pies in her fingers, than memorising her maths times tables. Something about nature reminds us of the essence of who we are. Throughout her school years Michlin pursued extracurricular art activities and won various awards, including the prestigious Oatley 101 Society of Artists Award. She attained Graphic Arts and Jewellery Design Diplomas and went on to complete 25 years of graphic design and illustration work in the Sydney & London advertising industries, until she found herself yearning for the natural world outside again. Michlin studied and taught Yoga and Meditation in Vancouver and is now in Perth to share her combined love for Mindfulness, Creativity & Nature as a wonderful remedy for rest and rejuvenation in our fast-paced, overstimulated electronic era.
