With abundant bays and the Great Australian Bight at Albany’s doorstep, limitless inspiration for artmaking abounds. Join Martien van Zuilen for a felting journey below the surface to make a variety of artworks inspired by marine life in all its forms. We will use wool and other natural fibres and apply various sculptural and textural felting techniques in a variety of ways, including stitch, folds and embedding (beads and cords), tubing & wire, foam and other (non-felting) materials. Perhaps even seaweed? Come and find out - the world is our felting oyster…or starfish…clownfish...or??
