Andy Dolphin

From the earliest moments of childhood, Andy Dolphin was drawn to the world of art. A pencil and paper were never far from reach, as he spent countless hours sketching everything that captured his imagination. This passion led to a career as an illustrative signwriter and commercial illustrator, where he honed his skills and artistic vision. Eventually, the call of fine art became irresistible, offering a deeper and more personal creative outlet.

Today, Andy works primarily in oils and watercolour, with a fascination for the interplay of light and shadow. The dramatic effect of long shadows in the morning and evening sun features prominently in his work, each painting serving as a memory of a time and place. His dedication to capturing nature’s essence leads him outdoors, painting in plein air, where he immerses himself in the landscape to translate its fleeting beauty onto canvas.
