Spend this summer session learning to make beautiful handmade books. We will explore various structures and approaches to bookbinding including simple pamphlet stitching, buttonhole binding, coptic binding, stab binding, a piano hinge journal and a cross-structure travel journal. Students will come away from the course with several handbound books created using foundational skills that can be applied to many books. (Session A book structures vary from Session B. Sessions can be taken together or independently)
