Choose one of Albany's interesting characters or tales we've uncovered and learn how to research and write an engaging short story that may be suitable for publication locally. Or do you have an ancestor who lived an extraordinary or shocking life whose story you want to tell? Have you been to a place that has a hidden history that you want to shine a light on? Or do you want to tell often-told history through different eyes?
This four-session interactive workshop will include how and where to research to find the details and atmosphere of your story, with a focus on stories from Albany and surrounds, how to approach and structure your story, how to develop the characters and start writing.
