Learn how to stitch a picture quilt using buildings as an inspiration. Architectural lines and shapes are perfect for this technique, which is created using fusible web and raw edge machine applique.

You can choose from one of tutor Phil Thomas’s Australian Building designs or use an image of your own.

Phil Thomas

Phil Thomas is an award-winning quilter who has taught beginner patchwork classes for over 30 years.

She is an accredited teacher and judge with the West Australian Quilters’ Association. Her first love is for hand pieced and hand quilted traditional quilts, but for the last ten years she has moved towards a more contemporary style using machine applique and quilting.

She enjoys using technology and her own photographs to design pictorial and portrait quilts. Some quilting experience recommended.
