The days will commence with a short meditation and will continue using mindfulness practice during the sessions. The intention is to offer a nature-based workshop, where students will explore found, collected objects in the natural surrounds of the school bushland, gardens or from students personal collections.
Work may be held inside or outside depending on the flow of the process and students will create works that speak to each individual, whether it be in story form, photographs, painting, drawings or collage.

Patrizia Passerini-Ryan’s work can be described as meditative expressionism, exposing raw emotions through flow of mediums. She intends to draw the viewer into the image and perhaps ponder on the marks, lines, light and reflections as a form of meditation.
Patrizia’s studies include art courses, formal and informal, with local well-known art tutors in Perth, Queensland, Victoria, Denmark WA, South Africa and Italy. She continues art practice and studies with various local and international artists and photographers. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions and was the curatorial assistant during a three-month artist Residency at Metamorphosis Art Gallery.
She developed and commenced a successful workshop “Art Expression Sessions” focused on tutoring clients with life-limiting illness and their carers. The objective was to give clients a safe space within which to explore the creative process through various art forms, which included journaling, collecting, foraging, collage, painting, drawing, and allowing the students to find their ‘voice’ and style as they worked through these sessions. In the end some of the students were able to participate in the group exhibitions which followed, with many continuing on to further develop their artistic practice.
