Have you ever wondered how coffee gets to your cup? Together with Ron Goodwin we will look at the different varieties of coffee, where they are grown, how it affects the flavour and ways in which you can enjoy the results. By “cupping” and tasting several different coffees you will start to appreciate their characteristics and understand tasting notes on roasters’ packaging.
Brewing coffee and preparation of espresso-based drinks will allow you to get hands-on with the varieties of coffee previously sampled.
Expect to be well caffeinated.

In the late 1990’s Ron Goodwin was ‘into coffee’ and sampling different beans from a local roaster in WA. When they stopped producing his favourite blend it became his mission to recreate it.
He started roasting in 2009 and, from 2011 to 2019, ran a successful artisan coffee roasting business. Through selling to the public and commercial customers, along with tastings and demonstrations, knowledge and tips were passed on to those of a similar passion.
Blending and roasting coffee is something Ron continues to do for his own purpose and enjoyment.
